Abby Coons majors in Psychology and minors in Counseling and Education Studies and is originally from Canandaigua, NY! Read below to find out more about Abby!
What are your plans for after graduating?
AC: I’ll be getting my Masters in Mental Health Counseling.
What is your favorite Honors-related memory?
AC: Meeting all of my friends on the second floor of Lyon Hall freshman year.
What are you involved in on campus? How has your campus involvement shaped your overall IC experience?
AC: I am a member of the Honors Program Student Advisory Board, the Senior Class Gift Committee, and the Ithaca Ambassadors Program. I have also held a job in Student Affairs and Campus Life since my sophomore year. My campus involvement has made me aware of all of the time and effort that go on behind the scenes to make this college thrive, which has made me even more grateful to have spent the last four years here.
What advice do you have for future Honors students?
AC: Always try something new! The great thing about honors is its diversity in curriculum, so do not be afraid to take a class that you may see as difficult or out of your comfort zone.
