Send Silence Packing is coming to Ithaca College! We will have 1,100 backpacks on the Academic Quad on October 29th from 10am to 5pm in memory of the 1,100 students that die by suicide every year.
Also, there will be a panel after Send Silence packing from 7-9pm in Textor 102. A student voice as well as organizations such as NAMI, MHA, SPCS, and The Advocacy Center will be at the panel to speak about suicide prevention. Make sure to come to the panel and stop by the Send Silence Packing exhibit earlier in the day!
For more than a decade, the Send Silence Packing® exhibit has traveled the country to end the silence that surrounds mental health and suicide and connect visitors with resources for support and action. Send Silence Packing encourages people to seek out resources for themselves, friends, or loved ones. Trained professionals are on hand at each stop, and thousands of mental health resources are distributed.
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Active Minds at firstname.lastname@example.org. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
