On Wednesday, February 14th at 4:30 to 6:30 in Hockett Family Recital Hall, President Shirley Collado will be headlining a panel discussion. This discussion will cover higher education trends and critical issues in the academy. The Ithaca College Board of Trustees and the Office of the President are working hand in hand to bring you this event. The goal of this panel is to expand communication and collaboration with the entire IC community. This means participation is vital for this discussion to be a success. The honors community represents some of the best students on campus, and a big showing could really make a noticeable difference.
The panel consists of President Shirley M. Collado; Tompkins Cortland Community College President Orinthia Montague; Luke Keller, Dana Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Ithaca College; and Jeff Selingo ’95, former editor of The Chronicle of Higher Education and member of the Board of Trustees.
The topics of this panel range from “Are we preparing students to find good jobs and to be good citizens?” to “Ensuring equity and full participation in higher education for students, faculty, and staff.”
The purpose of this panel discussion is add another level of collaboration between the Board of Trustees and the entire IC community. A task that calls for campus wide participation in this event. Don’t let your peers down, and more importantly don’t let yourself down. Be there honorites.
