It’s the last week of summer, and we’re spotlighting Justin Moczynski, an incoming Mathematics major and Physics minor from Hingham, Massachusetts. Learn more about him below!
What are you passionate about? What do you love to do?
I love applying mathematics in the world around me, whether it be in the classroom, on a computer while programming, statistics, or the sciences (like physics). In addition, I enjoy composing music for large ensembles (orchestra, band, chorus, or a combination of these). I also enjoy rotating in the air and plunging into cold water while diving.
What are you most excited for about Ithaca College?
I am most excited to meet new people while enrolling in classes in mathematics, computer science, physics, music, and potentially something else.
What have you been up to this summer? Do you have a favorite memory?
During this summer, I attended orientation, which was excellent. My favorite memory is of the freedom I felt when I went for a late night run around campus during orientation. I also play in the Satuit Band (a local community band) during the summer.
