IC Honors: Weekly Learning Opportunities

Hello, Honorites! Here is a roundup of some of the workshops, lectures, and performances happening on campus this week. These are great opportunities to pick up new skills, engage with the campus community, and even pick up Cultural Engagement points.

  • On February 23, City Year will host a screening and discussion of All the Difference in Park Auditorium at 2:00. Michael Cohen, a City Year recruiter, will be leading the discussion. Students can register via Handshake for the event.
  • The Handwerker Gallery will hold a talk with artist Linn Underhill at 6:00 on February 23 to discuss her photo exhibit “Last Standing.” The exhibit runs through March 5.
  • The Spring Career Fair will be held in Emerson Suites on February 22 from 4:30-7:00. Business casual attire is recommended.
  • Career Services and OSEMA will present Multicultural Career Connections 2/25 from 1:00-2:30. This event will feature a panel discussion with distinguished Ithaca College alumni, followed by the chance to network.
  • The Department of Theatre Arts will present La Clemenza de Tito from February 22 to March 4. Tickets and showtimes are available at  Ithaca.ticketforce.com.
  • On 2/20 at 7:00 in Ford Hall there will be an Organ Faculty and Studio Recital performed by Jean Randice and friends.
  • Darren Stokes and the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers will perform at 7:00 in Hockett Family Recital Hall on 2/21 as part of Black History Month.
  • The Wind Ensemble will perform in Ford Hall on 2/22 at 8:15.
  • A Student Showcase will take place in Hockett Family Recital Hall at 7:00 on 2/23.
  • A Black History Month concert will take place in Ford Hall on 2/25 at 8:15, featuring the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers, Alhassan Iddirsu, the Worlds of Music class, and the African Drumming and Dance Ensemble.
