Welcome back and hopefully you had a productive and relaxing break. Honors has a busy first week to the semester and here is what you should know:
- Tickets, $15, for the Ottawa trip go on sale on Tuesday Jan. 26, noon hour, Six Mile Creek Room. The trip is an all day trip to Ottawa’s Winterlude on Saturday Jan. 30. Skate on the world’s largest skating rink, check out the ice sculpture competitions or play in North America’s largest snow playground. At the same time Ottawa is home to a number of great museums.
- We have an info session on Thursday January 28, noon hour, T101. Learn about the Partners in the (National) Parks Program. Honors will help fund your participation in these week long experiential learning opportunities at one of this years national park locations. Take a look at this video from Alexis Lanza’s trip to Sequoia National Park last summer: VIDEO
- Get on your calendar: the Honors Alumni Panel on Friday February 26 at 4:00 in T101. The panel will consist of Melissa Littlefield ’00, Jesse Katen ’05, and Lily Shafer ’08. This is an excellent opportunity to connect with a few Honors Alumni and learn from their experiences. We also want our Alums to feel welcome with a large crowd.
