Meet Kelsey, a rising senior Journalism major!
Kelsey is spending her summer interning in New York City in publishing at the Sarah Jane Freymann Literary Agency and Pegasus Books publishing house.
One of Kelsey’s favorite things about the Honors program is that it allows her to read some awesome and different types of literature.
“I’m a huge bookworm, so my favorite part of Honors has been the opportunity to take classes because they have interesting book lists. So far I’ve read dystopias, graphic novels, and literature about madness for my Honors courses.”
We’re starting to look for more student spotlights for the school year for both current students and alums!

Meet incoming TVR major Annalise!
Annalise is taking this summer to explore her hometown of Bloomington, Indiana as well as going on a mission trip to Philadelphia, PA, a trip to Denver, CO to visit a friend and attending Lollapalooza in Chicago at the end of the summer.
Annalise is looking forward to all the opportunities the Honors Program offers!
“I am looking forward to explore new idea and possibilities with the Honors program. In high school you are stuck with a bunch of people who have to be in school. But know we are at a place that we chose. We decide to apply here and decided to accept when Ithaca offered us a spot in the class of 2019! And with the honor program it’s exciting that I will not only be with people who want to be at this school but want to learn and want to have discussions and widen their horizons. It’s all just so exciting!”
What are you doing this summer? Honors wants to know!
